Santa Monica is no ordinary beach. It has an amusement park, restaurants, shopping complexes, gift shops and areas for fishing. The Santa Monica Pier Aquarium is another well known tourist spot in the area, along with the Playland Arcade, which is packed with fun filled games and other opportunities for gamers. The Trapeze School of New York also makes for an interesting experience on the Santa Monica Pier. Classes are taken for two hours in groups of ten for those that are keen on relishing a unique activity. The Pier is also a desirable destination for shoppers. Santa Monica Place, Third Street Promenade and the Farmers’ Market are some of the many options available. The nightlife is also vibrant in this area. All these factors make it a viable tourist destination. Some tourists even like to take long walks on the beautiful ocean front.
